At first instinct it looks like a stupid question but the answer hasn’t always been blue.

As humans we have evolved over time we have gained the ability to see that color, blue.
This fact is ever present in almost every linguistic system, we only need to see the ancient Greeks and Hebrews.
In Homer’s Odyssey, he describes the sea as “wine-dark” rather than blue.
Some evidence points to the first mention of the color was made by the Egyptians when they started to produce a pigment calcium copper silicate, also known as Egyptian blue.
The ability to see this color comes to us as a classification of language and culture, not by a biological process.
If there is no word or way to describe something, how do we confirm or express its existence?.

I was born and raised in Mexico.
Since I was very young I have been very interested in technology, computers and such, and how they work.
One of my first “real” approaches to technology was back in 2013 when I built my first gaming computer, with a 3770K processor, 16 GB of DDR3 ram and a GTX 690 those were the days.
While building that computer I realized how limited my knowledge about computers was, even though others considered me “techy”, and opened the Pandora’s box for me.
My academic journey continued until I was in the last year of high school ready to study computer science or something related, but I started reading a medical text book and got really interested in medicine.
That led me to study medicine and become a doctor/physician, while going through medical school I became really interested in Linux/Unix.
Looking back I still remember my first Linux install with Ubuntu bionic beaver.
Since that first install I got captured and haven’t looked back, as you probably read in the homepage now I’m an Arch Linux user now.
My main reason to make the switch was the minimal nature of Arch and the very reasonable expectation that you need to understand at some level what is installed on your system to have a working install.

Systemd

Systemd might be monolithic but since you already have it installed why not use it?

As many Linux users know there is conflict when using systemd as the init system, many argue that it doesn’t follow the Unix philosophy or that it is bloated.
But those users also tend to bloat their Linux install by installing redundant packages like NetworkManager or grub.
Systemd already has this functionality, in this article I will show you how to use them keeping our systems lean.
